Ballet

Helen trained at the Arts Educational School, London.

After graduating in 1986 Helen taught for a variety of schools whilst furthering her teaching qualifications gaining Distinction in both her Associate and Licentiate Ballet. In 1998 Helen joined the staff at Junior Performers and shortly after became part of the Ballet Faculty at Performers College.

In 2001 Helen achieved Distinction in her Advanced 2 Ballet exam and passed her Fellowship in 2002. Helen was honoured to become an examiner for the Imperial Classical Ballet and has since been invited to take classes at both the Imperial Ballet Junior and Senior Awards. Helen lectures on the I.S.T.D. Summer Courses in London, Chichester and Italy and was involved in creating the new syllabus and DVD, Training Ballet Technique, which she has been presenting to teachers both in the UK and internationally. Helen was an Imperial Classical Ballet Faculty Committee member from 2012 until 2020.

Currently Helen is a freelance teacher, examiner and lecturer for the I.S.T.D.  Working at ACS Dance Centre teaching vocational and DDE Ballet.

She is thrilled to be a member of the teaching faculty of Evolution Foundation College, and thoroughly enjoys working with the students to further their Classical training.
